Setting Up Transactional/Triggered Emails

Introduction

Transactional / Triggered emails are actioned by an API call which will do the following:

  1. Upload contact (add the contact if new and update the contact if it exists already).
  2. Add the contact to the segment.
  3. Broadcast an email to that contact.

Steps in Setting-up a transactional email:

  1. Register a SENSORPRO Account Sign Up / More Information

  2. Login and work with Email Campaigns

  3. Add a new Campaign

  4. Define your Campaign

    Set Campaign Type to "Trigger Email Campaign" and set the Subject line and who it will be sent from.

  5. Add your Design

    You can work with an existing design or Add a new one.

  6. Pick your Template

    You can base your design on one of our templates, one of your own or select "Blank Design" and add your own HTML.

  7. Add your content and save.

    You can use or email designer to add both your static and dynamic content to the email template.

  8. Build a segment

    You will add a new segment that contacts can be saved in and you can target this segment later.

  9. Add a new Broadcast

  10. Name your Broadcast.

    Here you select the template and segment to be used for this broadcast and you will be issued your API Call endpoint URL to use. It will not generate a broadcast until you enable the Broadcast for Triggered Email. See the API Endpoint Information for more optional contact parameters and how to pass extra custom parameters.

  11. You are now nearly ready to trigger your first email!

    You can now call the API Endpoint to trigger your email. However before you do, you need to either purchase credits or have your freemium account verified.

    How to get my freemium account verified:

    1. Log into the account you created at Step 1. Sign Up / More Information 
    2. Complete your organisation profile.
    3. Let us know when you have completed your organisation profile


Steps in setting up sub-organizations

  1. Log into the account you created at Step 1 above.
